The Case Manager will provide direct case management services for the Reception and  Placement program meeting specific deadlines and tracking services in a case management system.  Experience in resettlement and social services specifically working with volunteers and the foreign-born is desired.

Full Time Position (Salary Range $37,000-$45,000)

This position has responsibility for providing case management primarily to newly arriving refugee and immigrant families, including provide initial resettlement services, ongoing cultural adjustment support, orientations, referrals and mediation services.  The Case Manager will work closely with community organizations, churches, landlords, and service providers to promote successful community integration.

This position is based in Akron/Barberton and requires visits to refugee families primarily in Akron/Barberton.

The Community Ambassador will create and maintain relationships with the communities we serve, coordinate volunteers, and connect families to services.  Experience in social services and working with the foreign-born and in resettlement is desired. 

Part Time Position (20-28 hours per week)

The primary purpose of this position is to establish and strengthen relationships within refugee and immigrant communities in the greater Akron area. The community ambassador will primarily support the International Welcome Center and its clients by leading the registration of new clients, working with volunteers to make the first home visit and make appropriate referrals. The community ambassador will also work closely with the Reception and Placement Case Manager and Community Coordinator to coordinate and schedule delivery of donations and services and support the families and volunteers as appropriate.
