Right now, refugee families arriving in Greater Akron need your support to start their new lives with dignity and security. Families arrive with immediate needs that go far beyond initial resettlement assistance.

We step in to provide critical resources during the first 90 days—like safe housing, beds to sleep on, transportation, and food—ensuring each family has a firm foundation to rebuild their lives.

But we can’t do this alone. On average, we invest $1,855 per family to fill these gaps and create a true sense of belonging.

Adding to this, World Relief has recently asked us to try to resettle as many families as possible before the end of January 2025. This urgent need underscores how transformative your generosity can be right now!

We aim to raise $130,000 to support our expanded services starting at Day 1, and stand in the gap for 36 families in their first 90 days here in Greater Akron. Additionally, part of this goal will help us hire the staff necessary to maintain the high standard of care and attention we give to each family starting at Day 1.

Your year-end gift before 12/31/24 will help us meet World Relief’s urgent request to resettle as many families as possible by January 2025.
